We are currently looking for the next host of “Your Summer, Your VOCM to join our St. John’s team! This position reports to the Program Director of VOCM.
VOCM has been the trusted voice of Newfoundland and Labrador for generations. From community events and festivals to local businesses and public gatherings, VOCM is there to connect people with the stories and conversations that matter most. We’re looking for someone who can represent VOCM throughout the St. John’s Metro area — engaging with listeners, supporting local clients, and bringing events and happenings throughout the city to life on-air.
If you’re comfortable speaking with people, enjoy being part of community events, and can bring energy and professionalism to represent Newfoundland and Labrador’s news leader both on and off the air, we want to hear from you.
Your day-to-day
- You’ll work alongside our Program Director to build a weekend schedule packed with stops across Metro representing VOCM in front of our audience and clients.
- Working alongside our Sales department to help our clients deliver their message on-air and through our social media channels.
- Broadcasting hourly reports on VOCM, with confidence and enthusiasm.
- Creating engaging, interactive social media content that our followers will love.
- Opportunities to bring your hosting abilities to some of the biggest stages and events in the province.
Your qualifications
- Ability to work Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from mid-June to Labour Day, plus additional dates as required.
- A minimum of 1 year of broadcast or promotions experience preferred.
- Strong oral presentation skills.
- Must have a strong knowledge and understanding of social media platforms.
- Self-motivated, team player with a positive attitude and passion to win.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
- Valid Newfoundland & Labrador driver’s license with a clean drivers’ abstract.
- Outgoing personality.
- Strong creative skills.

We are currently looking for a K-Rock ‘Rock The Road’ Host to join our St. John’s team! This position reports to the Assistant Program Director of K-ROCK.
The St. John’s Metro Area bustles with fun throughout the summer and from the Shed to the Shore, nobody knows how to have more fun than the K-Rock Nation! We want you to represent K-Rock at the season’s biggest events and most happening locations, whilst being the face of our brand, as you immerse yourself amongst our audience and clients. If you know what it takes to speak to the province’s biggest radio audience and make this summer a blast for the K-Rock Nation – both on and off the air – we want to hear from you!
Your day-to-day
